I have never been very successful at growing culinary herbs. This is due - in part - to the fact that most of them hate abundant watering, and when it rains in my area.... it REALLY pours. It is altogether normal to have a whole week of non-stop rain (ranging from torrential downpour to persistent drizzle) around these parts.
Well, I am trying my hand at it yet again... and this time, my efforts revolve around a large washtub in the garage. Whether this venture will prove successful remains to be seen, but the little sprouts of parsley, escallion... and celery (I think :-/) are holding my interest. If this actually works, we will add containers and try others... and photos will be in order.
Of course, if this turns out to be a total flop, I will just have to conclude that over-watering was not the only problem... and that I may actually have a 'brown thumb' (specific to such plants). Ooooh boy!
If you have ever tried anything similar, I would like to hear from you. Any advice?

Best wishes for a great harvest of herbs! I'm going to start a planter box of herbs this week.
