With the exception of those born less than a year ago, each 'Yesterday' represents the end of a year... each 'Today', the beginning of another.
But there is something a little special about the beginning of a new calendar year, and my love affair with the 'smell of the new' has been well-documented.

The year 2010 was an 'interesting' one, but I am more than ready to leave it behind in order to embrace 2011 with both hands.
In the 'curve balls' that will inevitably come, but that cannot be planned for, I smell the potential for a more consistent prayer life and a closer walk with God.
When I tapped out these words in December 2009, I had no idea how fast and furious the 'curve balls' would come, but come they did... and I can hardly claim that they left 'consistency' in their wake. But I am committed to moving forward - baby steps or not - because I know the best is still yet to come, and I refuse to remain grounded, breathing the miasma of this earth, when I know I was born to soar.
With this in mind, I will be joining Ann Kroeker for Mega Memory Month in an effort to get 2011 off to a good start, and you are more than welcome to come along for the journey. :)
