"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;" (Romans 12:9-10, NKJV)
'Hurting people hurt others'... 'Misery loves company'.... Clichés we have heard again and again, the world over...
And true though they may seem to be, there is no conceivable reason why they should define our existence.
When will we call a halt to this vicious cycle? How long will it take before we can acknowledge the worth of another without regard to social status, ethnicity or..... skin tone.
The video below is the preview of an upcoming documentary which shares the stories of women... dark-skinned women, more specifically... who have felt the pangs of prejudice, and who have struggled with self-acceptance as a result.
Whether you choose to watch or not.... please make a decision today to be an intentional agent of change within your sphere of influence.
Everyone has influence, and we must use it wisely.
The resilience and moral excellence of the next generation depends on it!
