Home -- Where The Heart Is . . .

While my men sleep through this thunderstorm we are having, I am linking up with Lisa-Jo, The Gypsy Mama, for Five Minute Friday.  Here are the rules, in her own words:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. Get a little crazy with encouragement for the five minuter who linked up before you.

This week's prompt is 'Home...'.

My timer is set, so here we go. :)

GO

There are flashes of lightning, peals of thunder, and it is raining cats and dogs... but I am home.

Home... where imperfect people are perfectly loved in spite of their imperfections. Where love is wrapped around you, kisses soothe, and hurts are healed.  It is a safe haven amid the raging storms that threaten my very life, so wherever I go, I must return.

A house is not a home, and for that I am grateful. We have moved many times, and we have spent many hours within the walls of more houses than we would like to remember, but we have never left 'home' behind. Because home is more than a house... it is about relationship. Relationships of the loving variety.  The kind of relationships that build up, rather than tear down.

We talk, laugh and cry... but we do it together.

There is no place like it.

Home...
