It's Friday! So I am linking up with Lisa-Jo, The Gypsy Mama, for Five Minute Friday.
Every Friday, she selects a prompt and encourages us to take five minutes with her to 'just write without worrying if it’s just right or not.'
Just five minutes... "5 minutes flat with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing."
This week's prompt is Grateful...
GO
It is easy to be grateful, but without the expression of that heartfelt gratitude, it tends to fall flat. Gifts forgotten amid the 'busy-ness' of life.
But when I articulate my gratitude, something happens, but I was never sure what exactly until I read her words that inspired me to start writing out gifts: "Eucharisteo (thanksgiving) precedes the miracle." Thanksgiving, the expression of gratitude to a Father who gives all things good.
I started writing... how grateful I was for a godly husband, running water, fluffy white clouds, exuberant son, storms and sunshine... and the world seemed brighter somehow.
A grateful heart... hallmark of a Christ-follower.
In gratitude, I smile... and the world smiles with me.
